Formed in 2006, Primitive Graven Image have established themselves in the Black Metal scene over the course of three internationally released albums and many well received tours and live dates. The band have moved from a very raw Black Metal sound on early releases to their later work with acclaimed producer Russ Russell (Napalm Death, Dimmu Borgir, Evile etc).

Not afraid to step outside of the box and bring in influences and instruments from other genres, Primitive Graven Image have
more recently been merging psychedelic and progressive influences into their sound, whilst retaining the intensity of their Black
and occasionally Death Metal influences.

An established act on the UK live scene, the band have toured relentlessly over the last few years, as headliners, as support to international names such as Enthroned and Inquisition, and appearing at numerous festival dates.

Quite possibly my favourite death/doom album. I choose this album to listen to when I feel like listening to something doomy more often than any other. It's clear that the band put a lot of effort into this album, and that hard work was worth it. Jarak
