Faroe Island - Goresquad - Mutilation Chamber

Deep in the festering pit that is the North Atlantic Ocean, a death metal band was wrought into existence. The place was the isolated Faroe Islands, the year was 2014, the band was named Goresquad!

Foul deeds committed by the members of this unholy foursome can be traced back to other infamous Faroese metal acts Earth Divide, Reduced to Ash and Hamferð.

Their debut EP ”Mutilation Chamber” was recorded sporadically throughout the year 2014 in Studio Bloch. The five slabs of gory death were finally assembled and released on Friday the 13th (!) of February 2015 through TUTL records.

The artist who lent his talents to the album cover is Faroese native Hans Niclasen. It depicts a naked woman being mercilessly tortured by an armor-clad inhuman being with glowing eyes in a moss-covered dark room. Niclasen is a master of depicting scenes of brutality and war, so his style was a perfect fit for Goresquad. The logo was a collaboration between longtime graphic artist Jón Einarsson and bassist Lord Ov Vomit.

In addition, "Mutilation Chamber” features guest vocals on several tracks by an individual who chooses to be known as Regurgitox, known to associate with acts like Hamferð & Barren Earth.

Inspired by the brutal sounds of death metal royalty like Cannibal Corpse, Bloodbath & Hail of Bullets, their aim is to to make straight-up, no-nonsense death metal with lyrics detailing murder and gore!

Their names are lost in oblivion but their monikers remain. They are...

CUNTCRUSHER: lead screams & rhythmic buzz-saws
MUTILATOR AXEMAN: lead razor-wires
LORD OV VOMIT: sickening pulses & auxiliary screams
BRUTALIZER: assault & battery
