about

Holy Dragons - a Kazakhstan metal band, founded in 1992 in Almaty. Since the beginning to the present day the main musical direction for the group has been Heavy Metal. The band sticks to the 1980's style.
In addition, one can trace the influence and identify the components of such styles as Speed Metal, Power Metal, Hard Rock, Techno Thrash and some other styles in the music of Holy Dragons. Obviously, Holy Dragons are Kazakhstan's most successful metal export, according to foreign press.

The band recorded its first full-length album, ― Dragon Steel, in 1998.
The members of the band were working very fruitfully and had a lot of releases:-

Dragon's Ballads - Full-length (1997)
Dragon Steel - Full-length (1997)
Halloween Night - Demo (1997)
Enjoy the Storm / Wild Cat-Single (1997)
Dragon Steel-Demo (1998)

Since 2003, the band began to work with the Russian record label Metalism Records, some of the albums were released in cooperation with Soyuz Music, Metal Agen, Sound Age, etc.

During their cooperation with Metalism the band had the following releases:

Judgement Day - Full-length (2003)

In 2009, the band released the album Iron Mind as a free downloadable Internet release. On 6th November, 2012 Holy Dragons released a new album "ZERSTÖRER" Currently the band is signed to Pitch Black Records - independent Cyprus label

And now Holy Dragons, Kazakhstan’s Heavy Metal giants, return with their new album ―Dragon Inferno‖! A follow-up to 2012’s Zerstörer‖, the album features new vocalist Alexander ― Demoraivola‖ Kuligin.

While the 80s influence is evident in the band’s style the band delivers a fresh sounding blend of heavy, power and speed metal.
Formed in 1992, HOLY DRAGONS have literally dozens and dozens of releases, they now strike back as mighty as ever and they strike hard and fast!

Line Up:

Alexander Kuligin - vocals
Jürgen Thuderson – guitar, back vocals
Thora Thorheim (aka Chris Caine) - guitars
Anton Repalo — drums

"Kazakhstan's most successful metal export Holy Dragons make their return with their 13th, 14th or 15th album, let's be honest, we lost track. Unlike our metal brethren here who have been shredding tracks out with sensational speed for 22 years. 'Dragon Inferno' marks the next chapter in this remarkable band's career, armed with a new vocalist in the form of Alexander "Demoraivola" Kuligin and the same blistering paced, unruly racket that they've conjured up each time, Holy Dragons are making a statement of intent once again, that they are by no means done and are truly deserving of greater international attention. 'Dragon Inferno' wields together the melodies of Power / Speed Metal, with the brutality of clean Heavy Metal and elegant agility of Thrash Metal influences. 'Dragon Inferno' is a release that any metal fan should have in their collection, it is simply awe-inspiring."
