Northumberland - Today The Sun Dies - Not Born, But Shit Into Existence

about

Today The Sun Dies has origins dating back to 2010, but it wasn't until a drunken night out in February 2011 that the band really took shape. Members of previous Newcastle bands stumbled into one another, and a mutual goal of making the heaviest music possible was born.

An early demo caught the band its first media attention, featuring on the cover mount CD of Terrorizer magazine. Countless gigs up and down the country, sharing stages with bands such as Hatebreed, Cancerous Womb, Wormrot, Severe Torture, Evile and Cerebral Bore followed, cementing the band as one to keep your eyes, and most definitely; ears, open for.

A couple of personnel changes and a self-released EP later, Today the Sun Dies bagged a second feature in Terrorizer which led them to being their "Band of the Day" on the 17th of July 2013. With the death metal ball now well and truly rolling, the band set their sights on bigger and better things: Bloodstock.

On the back of their "Torment" EP and a devastating live performance, a spot on the Newblood stage was secured for Sunday the 10th of August. The future looks bright, but disgusting, for Today the Sun Dies. And they wouldn't want it any other way.
