Decaarta are a 5 piece Thrash / Groove Metal band from Chichester West Sussex. The Band was founded in 2009 and after a few line up changes by early 2009 the band had its complete and still standing line up.

The band then spent most of 2009 writing their own original material and by late 2009 were able to perform their first gig, from then on the band have been playing shows religiously to this day playing venues in Chichester ranging out to Guilford, Portsmouth, Southampton and Brighton - regularly pulling a crowd.

In early 2011 the Band recorded their debut EP "Haunted" the EP contains 5 tracks and was recorded at The Old Chapel Studios in Nutbourne, West Sussex. The Band then released this EP to take the local scene by storm selling over 50 copies on the first night of release with each copy making £5 each the Band followed the EP up with merchandise that had been in the works for a while, producing Wrist bands and T-shirts.

The EP was also released and well received on many major online retailers such as: Amazon, I-Tunes, Spotify, Play.com, Last FM and Reverb Nation. The band also released a couple of tracks from the EP to download for free on Facebook and Reverbnation.

In 2013 Decaarta entered the Bloodstock Metal 2 the Masses competition in Bournemouth and falling short in the finals and playing many shows across the south including multiple headline shows in Southampton and Chichester and Bournemouth.

In early 2014 Decaarta returned to Old Chapel Studios in Nutbourne West Sussex to record there debut album titled “Exile The Wicked”, the band have yet to confirm the release date of the album but are currently working on a music video and booking coming shows to promote the album, they are also keeping a steady flow of new merchandise to also back the coming release of the album.

The band have shared the stage with: Bull-Riff Stampede, Furyborn, Cambion, Bloodworks, Terrathorn, The Smoking Hearts, Mask of Judas, Headstone down, Flayed disciple, Kaideka, Ancient Ascendant, Trepallium and many more.
