Winter Storm are a Five piece Dark Melodic Female Fronted Metal band hailing from the West Midlands, United Kingdom.  
 
 
Winter Storm began in 2008 with a vision to create a band that would be heavy, atmospheric, whilst still retaining traits of the Gothic Metal sound, but providing a more Melodic Metal edge, being cited as a breath of fresh air in the melodic metal genre with recent album reviews.

Since 2009, Winter Storm have supported: Alestorm (February 2012, Slade Rooms), Delain (2009 and 2010, JBs Dudley), Sirenia (November 2009, Femme Metal Festival), The Birthday Massacre (November 2010, 02 Academy Birmingham), Theatres Des Vampires (November 2009), Sarah Jezebel Deva (2009), Die So Fluid (2010), ReVamp (2011), Lahannya (2011), Achilla (2010), Triaxis (2012), Evil Scarecrow (2012), Idiom (2012), Voodoo Johnson (2012), Raggedy Angry (2010), The Eden House (2010) and released their new album at a headline launch show to over 100 die hard Winter Storm fans on the 16th November 2013 at Wolverhampton Slade Rooms.

Winter Storm believe we bring a new flavour to a very over saturated genre, that of femme metal bands. We stand-alone in that we focus on a heavy, metallic, riff based edge, allowing us to stand alone alongside our fellow femme bands. We feel supporting Epica in the UK would be an ideal match, to provide diversity on the evenings line up, whilst still maintaining a level of similarity in that of our uses of melodies, harmonies and heavy guitars!
